The opening track of my EP ‘Ahora’ speaks on the division sparked by the current social climate, and touches on topics such as the importance of mental health. The contradictory hook chanting “Now I have it all, money, women, and blessings” is a reminder of “its not the things we have, but the experiences we live through that define us." The song was created during a meditation retreat where it awakened a desire to connect with people who live or suffer from anxiety or depression. The single is about to reach 1M streams on Spotify, so I felt it is the perfect time to mint the record in permanence. This type of single is uncommon in my genre as it doesn't fit the commercially driven narrative, it felt like such a strong statement to release it as a single.
