I've been working on music with a completely different process from the way I did in 2021 and this track from the archives really represents how I was working last year. I'm putting it out on the blockchain to remind myself I have different processes with music making, I keep shifting gears, taking breaks or going all out. It's kind of like swimming in an ocean of ideas and this is one of them!

Swim

Minutes before sleep there's a moment of bliss knowing you're about to rest. The uneasiness of insomnia passes away and you fall into a state of calm. 'Minutes Before Sleep' encapsulates my feelings on those nights guiding myself to sleep taking deep breaths and letting my thoughts flow. 

This track is previously unreleased. I've been writing more ambient pieces of music recently so I'm really excited to share this one with the world. Before I started releasing music as Oceantied, I was in a band called Until We Last which wrote post-rock/ambient influenced music and writing this track took me back to those days. <3

Minutes Before Sleep

This is my genesis Catalog record. 

'Nowhere Feels Like Somewhere' was written in August 2020 at the height of the pandemic & finished over the course of the past few months. The track resembles a state of nostalgia I felt through the pandemic - going back to when I was younger, day dreaming about sci-fi themes and cycling outside in the sun. It almost took me to a place where I felt comfortable even though nothing on the outside reflected that feeling.

The artwork is a collaboration between my sister Sonia & I. The buyer of this music NFT will be airdropped an NFT of the non-text version of the digital artwork. Please get in touch with me if you're the buyer and I can also send over the music in the file type you prefer (.wav/.mp3 etc)
