This is the latest (and final) version of a song I've been working on for 5 years. It started as a techno track, with the main synth line and a kick drum, but I wasn't satisfied so I kept working on it year after year, reopening the project and adding one new element at a time. It started solidifying after an afternoon session in Jeremy Chatelain's living room in Paris a few years ago, but still didn't feel like it was where it needed to be. Then I received an offer to produce a track for a sex scene in the last season of HBO's Euphoria, and that's when I added the vocals, the ambient intro, some melodic elements, and took most of the drums out. It didn't make it to the final cut, but I still have a special connection to this song, which sounds like nothing else in my discography.
