Master Tea (formerly known as Bob Bobson) spent a ton of time in the far east learning about various teas, medicines, shapeshifting. Whence he returned to the west, he felt he didn't fit in, so he transitioned to a frog. 

You can still call him "Master Tea". He won't be offended...or just "Master" will do. Close friends call him "MT". Just don't call him "Frog boy", "Frogger", "Frognasty5000" or anything of the like. If you do... this song will magically begin to play in the background of your present moment, Master Tea will portal hop to wherever you are and he will kick your ass. Badly. 

He'll also probably poison you with frog medicine. Because it sprays everywhere when he does his Typhoon Backspins on your face.

Recorded at cabin in the wood. High in the mountain-deep forest of Dago, Indonesia. Analog recorded using vintage synthesizer Moog Realistic '81, Roland Juno 60, Fender Pawn Shop Offset Special, Fender Marauder, Yamaha SF3000, Shure SM7B and Musicmaster Bass '68.
In a sequence of lust, love, and intimacy. I found bliss within luscious clouds of reverb and swelling waves of delayed feedback. Exclusively pressed as a unique one of one audio NFT.  Belongs forever inside the blockchain.

About Translation: The final track on Interior, and rather than end with a turn towards more quiet, introspective tones (which is traditionally how I tend to end records), I wanted to end with a bit of a celebration. This song has gone through a number of different variations, but it wasn’t until I dropped in the microsamples and extended sax solo at the end that it really hit the mark.

This one does demand something from the listener though. The kick drum doesn’t even come in until the 3:30 mark. I do think people will be rewarded if they’re able to really live in the world of the song for the first half, until the big party comes in. The quiet parts of a song make the loud parts hit even harder, right?

To be honest, I wasn’t sure if this type of big, positive ending was the right fit for this record, but I’m really glad the folks at Cascine convinced me to not only keep it on the record, but have it wrap the whole experience up.

Wood is a song I wrote and self produced.  Released in December of 2019 after months away from home on tour.  Drained but with good intentions.  Sad but hopeful.  I remember being obsessed with wood during the time of making this song, which is probably how it got this title.  Wood as in the material.  I started to buy a bunch of hand-crafted wooden furniture/designs for my studio and was super into the texture, the smell, the feel of it.  I wasn't sure why my heart was pulled to it.  One day I got a tarot card reading and the person literally said, "Putting yourself around wood would be really good for you right now, something grounding... try to maybe go to a forrest". I'm open minded of course but it was definitely odd to hear the synchronicities in the tarot-readers advice.  Maybe I smelled like wood. 

It's part of the V2 series which is more so, stream of consciousness styled stuff.  Almost with a demo-structure to it rather than songs that abide by some rule of arrangement.   

I'm happy this song is out in the world.  I had a deep seated feeling of fear before putting it out, because of how vulnerable it was.  But if I've learned anything that feeling is usually a good sign that you're telling the truth.

'ghetto love songs' is an EP produced mixed mastered and performed by me. 'ghetto love songs' is my journey traveling through Europe allowing love and lust to dictate my actions. Sonically I wanted to represent this quest through heavy 808s mixed with real instruments such as guitars and piano. All three songs feature a unique touch and euphoric feeling.This project is totally different than some of my more mainstream songs because the only thought on my mind when creating was to create.
