Harrison and I met on twitter around Aug 2021 (damn, feels forever ago) we connected because of our similar experiences in web3. Harrison launched his social token $FIRST and has been building his community since 2019.

He heard my music, checked out my social token on Rally and we instantly clicked. We didn’t talk collaboration until shortly after but we had a good idea of what we wanted to bring to the world by combining our talents and experience to drop something special.

This is exactly how REAL came about. I had a rough demo of the song and I knew performance wise it was spot on. I scrapped some of my verse parts and made space for Harrison to come and do his thing. He killed it.

The music production on the OG demo was good but I knew it needed to be reworked. Sonically I wanted something cohesive that complemented are parts. I sent the a cappella to my collaborator in Argentina and he did an amazing job at recreating the music and increasing the production value it deserved. Melodically there is a lot subtleties and textures but everything is in its respective pocket, with something fresh appearing on every listen.

This is the 1/1 of the song. On Mirror I launched editions as a visual & musical art piece.

story:
Tabu is a latin future funk inspired by some of my favorites, like Daft Punk and The Weeknd. Music NFTs spark my creativity and remove the hesitance whenever I have new music to bring to the world. 

My songwriting/recording process is very spontaneous, Tabú was pure energy, I recorded the song in less than two hours and sent it out to produce the very next day. My producer Daniel (Shine) in Argentina knows what I am capable of and has been pushing me to explore other genres to elevate my sound and Tabú is the result of one of many styles we are exploring to drop as a part of Infinite.

Tabu 01 - ♾️

A few weeks ago I was going to press this one but due to gas fees I hesitated a bit. Now I understood why, life and time have a unique way of working in harmony.

A few days ago I received a heartfelt letter from a supporter in Russia that mentioned I saved her life - https://twitter.com/Xcelencia/status/1462827049454915589

She starts off by saying that she can't imagine how many letters I read every day (lots of emails, no letters) and she begged me to read hers because of how important I am to her. 

I've gotten some fan love before but this letter in particular hit me. She mentioned because of the pandemic she lost her job traveling across the country, she lost all hope as she had to return home and even went days without eating due to having no money. She says my music gave her great power, and something woke up inside of her and she wanted to live again. That my music healed her and I gave her a reason to wake up every morning. 

I was in disbelief rereading the letter multiple times, to close it out, all she asked from me was to send her an autographed postcard. This SONG was highlighted as one of her favorites.

As for this mint since I was going to originally press it a percentage of the proceeds will go to making sure I can ship her an amazing care package.

The opening track of my EP ‘Ahora’ speaks on the division sparked by the current social climate, and touches on topics such as the importance of mental health. The contradictory hook chanting  “Now I have it all, money, women, and blessings” is a reminder of “its not the things we have, but the experiences we live through that define us." The song was created during a meditation retreat where it awakened a desire to connect with people who live or suffer from anxiety or depression. 

The single is about to reach 1M streams on Spotify, so I felt it is the perfect time to mint the record in permanence. This type of single is uncommon in my genre as it doesn't fit the commercially driven narrative, it felt like such a strong statement to release it as a single. As part of this auction since September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, I want to make a donation to the "American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.”

The thing that matters to me most is that my music makes me feel something, it's become this way for me to record my life and embed my story into what I create. I like the idea that the people I love and maybe their children will listen back one day and start to pick through the music and find all these memories buried in there. I always start writing with some kind of sample I recorded on my phone, and while digging through my audio notes I found this recording of my daughter's heartbeat.. I recorded it during one of the early scans and had totally forgotten about it.. I knew instantly that this was the starting point for me that day. I feel like the only thing we can rely on to help us stand out these days is to be ourselves, it's the one thing we can count on that makes us unique. Putting my life into my music is my way of doing that, and has become my ‘why’.

Those early scans can be a terrifying time, you are a bundle of nerves and heading into this great big unknown, and there is something so visceral about hearing that living heartbeat the first time. It’s one of those life moments where you are overwhelmed by emotions that you don't quite understand, and yet you are also scared to let yourself feel them in case something goes wrong. Everytime I hear this song it takes me back to that feeling, and for me that's what music should do: transport you somewhere. So really it's about moments, impactful moments that music so often attaches itself too. It's what makes music both challenging to earn a living from in the modern visual world, but also what makes it totally unique.. It soundtracks our experiences and bonds to them forever.

Willow's Heartbeat is the inaugural single from the forthcoming debut album Scenes, where listeners' will take part by contributing their personal memories and see them transformed into a collective audiovisual tapestry.

This is a cherished piece of mine (song almost doesn't cut it!) about grief.  

One thing I love about minting in Web3 is that the value comes from the activity of putting out the music and the building of community around that.  It makes me feel less intimidated about where I'm at right now as a musician; working long hours, difficulties working that creativity muscle, but tenacious regardless.  You can hear some of the chaos and the disjointedness in the track, and I think that's a part of what makes something like this valuable; while a prettier and more docile version may end up on Spotify, Catalog is where all of my raw, authentic, somewhat flawed, and fully throttled pieces land.  So thanks so much for supporting and for shouting out :)

Judged as an outcast for all eternity. Until now.

Initially, “Yo Soy Dios” is a song that I personally wanted to be an expression against bullying. I found myself in situations in which people have bullied me because of my skin color, or what they assume are my sexual preferences.

And I wrote this song as a form of expression for myself and hopefully for other people, understanding that personal acceptance is very important, but it is a very hard process for each person to go through.

This NFT is a 1/1 of the recording 'Hello Stranger'.

The song is called ’Hello Stranger’ because initially it was written about how sometimes, after many years, we run into people we used to love and it feels like they are totally different people, we don’t recognize them anymore, it’s like saying hello to a stranger. 

That can be both, painful but liberating.

At the end, I decided to release the song as an instrumental, but the lyrics remain as a poem somewhere in the universe.

"Luna" es una cancion que habla acerca de los errores que cometemos con personas que queremos. Esta situaciones que generalmente son dereivadas del ego puegen llegar hasta a separar personas que se quieren. Escribí "Luna" en un momento en el que me di duenta que tan mierda podems ser, reconociendo mis propios aspectos negativos como ser humano, y como el ser humano tiene el poder de herir a otras personas.

"Luna" is a song that talks about the mistakes we make with people we love. Situations that are generally derived from the ego can even separate people who love each other. I wrote "Luna" at a time when I realized how shitty we can be, acknowledging my own negative aspects as a human being, and how human beings have the power to hurt other people.

Hi! I’m Esty and I co-wrote my new and second NFT “pegao!!!” with producer, The Idiot. 

I wanted to write something that visually and lyrically announced me making space in an industry I used to think had no space for me. Make that space for yourself where there is none!

This song was born out of our 3rd session together and I remember coming in and sharing the voice memo idea I had while driving to the studio. I was just repeating the “pegaoooo ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ayeeee”. The minute I heard the opening beat, I went in to record “Oye Portero, HABRAME LA PUERTA!!”Which means in English, “Listen gatekeeper, OPEN THE DOOR!!”.

Pegao is Spanish for ’stuck’ because this song will be ‘stuck’ in your head!
