A dark place took a toll on my mental health last year. In the midst of severe anxiety, depression, and ideas of suicide, I wrote this song. My demons are defeated, and I feel accomplished to share with you "Devil Do a Flip".

Chase The Night

The original idea for 'Climax' was born in Chicago before my trip to Australia. We recorded the song out there, and then spent the next few months tweaking it and getting it to the finished song you can hear today. This song was another exploration into different ways of using my voice and becoming more comfortable with singing.

Climax

"I Know" was first recorded in Ayr, Scotland Fall of 2017 with Arran Sym. This sound was a change in direction for us and came from experimenting with live instruments, vocal performance, and unusual song structures. The song developed over the next few years. Worked on in Scotland, Chicago, Australia, and finally finished in Tokyo this year. We knew we would find a place for it, and are happy to share it now.

Maelstrom

This is the latest (and final) version of a song I've been working on for 5 years. It started as a techno track, with the main synth line and a kick drum, but I wasn't satisfied so I kept working on it year after year, reopening the project and adding one new element at a time. It started solidifying after an afternoon session in Jeremy Chatelain's living room in Paris a few years ago, but still didn't feel like it was where it needed to be. Then I received an offer to produce a track for a sex scene in the last season of HBO's Euphoria, and that's when I added the vocals, the ambient intro, some melodic elements, and took most of the drums out. It didn't make it to the final cut, but I still have a special connection to this song, which sounds like nothing else in my discography.
