I wrote and produced this song out of emotional necessity. The lyrics are about training for basketball but the meta story is about continuing to believe in my path as a musician despite the heartache.

I used to walk this earth seeking my cave. 
Thirsty for the love I crave. 
Sleepwalk wearing the clothes you say 
shrunk me small enough to be your friend today. 
Would you love me hug me, 
then point out the parts you deem ugly? 
Back when you gave me just a string and 
I treated it like it was         everything.

I used to walk this earth seeking my cave. 
Now when asleep, my music plays. 
That fire blazing is my instinct.
You used to tell me what to think.
